Islamabad: During the first four months (July to October) of the current financial year 2022-23, remittances from Pakistanis working in European Union countries have decreased by 11.1% on an annual basis.
According to data released by the State Bank of India (SBP), Pakistanis working in Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Greece, Sweden, Denmark, Ireland and Belgium earned $1.061 million during the July to October period. , which is 11.1 percent less than the same period of the previous financial year.
Pakistanis working in EU member countries sent foreign exchange worth $1.193 billion to the country during the same period last fiscal.
Remittances from the European Union were recorded at $232.7 million in October, up from $259.6 million in September and $295.5 million in October last year. There has been a decrease in this.
