Wealthify founder Richard Theo’s brainchild, B Corp-certified Zero, will soon launch under e-money regulations, offering 21- to 31-year-olds a card, personal checking account and app with a focus on sustainability.

By analyzing spending data to identify areas of their lifestyle that contribute to climate change, the app promises to educate customers about their consumption and environmental impact and offer them ways to reduce it.

Through personalized insights and recommendations, Zero says it will help people reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to climate- and nature-positive solutions.

Ahead of the launch, Mastercard, Transact Payments, Flagright, Marqeta, TAG Systems, Onfido, Kani and Plaid are on board as partners.

Theo, a serial entrepreneur who founded Wealthify, ActiveQuote and Fintech Wales, closed a seed round for the new company last year and is currently in the process of raising an extension.

CEO Theo says: “We want to bridge a much-needed gap between world-class digital finance capabilities and effortless sustainability that is simply not currently available to our Gen Zero target market of four million climate-active 18-34 year olds.” and Millennial consumers.”
