Bhayander: For physical health and fuel saving, Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation has decided to create a cycle path in the city. A one kilometer long cycle track (track) will be constructed at Mira Road on a pilot basis at a cost of Rs 70 lakh.
Due to vehicles, industrialization, pollution is increasing and it is affecting the environment. On the other hand, fuel is also consumed on a large scale. For this, the municipality has allowed the citizens to use bicycles. To encourage cyclists, the municipality has decided to develop cycle routes. J.P. Infra at Mira Road has decided to manufacture ‘Cycle Truck’ on pilot basis.Fifteenth Finance Commission has allocated Rs.31 crore to the municipality. The municipality is using this fund to implement various projects. 70 lakh rupees will be spent for this route from this fund.
This route will be about one kilometer long. Importantly, this road is designed to be designed for cycling only. The funds and proposals in this regard have been given by the Parks Department to the Public Works Department and the Deputy Commissioner of the Municipality Sanjay Shinde informed that this route will be constructed soon.
