Union Minister of State Dr Jitendra Singh on Saturday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s model of governance is sustainable, as he has violated the principle of diminishing returns, there is no anti-incumbency, and the graph is always up. moving towards

Addressing the inaugural session of the 25th e-Governance Conference here, Singh said, “What is this governance model that I am trying to boast about? Some writers have described it as a model of Modi’s governance… This is not just to name-drop, as some cynics might feel. It is a model that has sustained itself for nearly 20 years or more, with Modi being the longest-reigning head of any democracy.
“So, I have the courage and conviction to say that this is a sustainable model of governance.”
He said, “This is a model that has violated the principle of diminishing returns. On the contrary, profits have increased with each passing year. There is no anti-incumbency…. The graph is always on the upswing. is, never down.”
Singh said it was a model that “got stronger with every challenge”, as it was always prepared to face the challenge ahead of time. “As Chief Minister (Gujarat), Mr. Modi faced an earthquake in Gujarat. As Prime Minister, the pandemic (COVID-19). We were already prepared for that. We can do better.”
Singh said that it was because of this governance model that the Covid-19 pandemic could be contained. Recently, he said, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands praised the way India fought Covid-19. He said that we (Amsterdam) cannot manage with such a small population, how can you? I said because we were already prepared. So, this is the governance model (he is referring to).
Singh said the basic mantra of the Modi government is “more governance, less government”.
“It sounds very fancy…like a philosophy, a fancy phrase….but the simple meaning is government that acts as a facilitator but not as a threat. That’s how I interpret it. Tried… Neither the disappearance of the government nor the influence of the government (neither the absence of the government nor the influence of the government),” he said.
Singh said a “whole of government, whole of nation and whole of society” approach has become the new normal to achieve the desired results in the shortest possible time.
The two-day National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG) has been organized by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir administration. The theme of this year’s conference is “Bringing Citizens, Industry and Government Closer”.
Addressing the gathering, DARPG Secretary V Srinivas said that ‘More Governance, Less Government’ represents a digitally empowered nation, a digitally empowered citizen, and a digitally transformed enterprise. she does. He said that between 2014 and 2022, the government has brought digital transformation which has been embraced by the rural population through Jan Dhan, Aadhaar, BHIM UPI, CoWIN, Arogya Setu app.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary Arun Mehta said it is a proud moment for UT to be hosting the 25th National Conference on e-Governance at Katra, which shows the signs of changes taking place at UT.
Information Technology Secretary Alkesh Kumar called it an opportunity to recognize and showcase exemplary digital transformations undertaken by the Centre, states and the startup community.
On the occasion, Singh presented the National Award for e-Governance (NAeG) under five categories of NAeG Scheme-2022 under 18 e-Governance initiatives at central, state and district levels, academic and research institutes and public sector undertakings.
