Germany is considering copying Britain and drawing up its own Rwanda-style migrant deal.

It comes as MPs in the Commons will vote tomorrow on Rishi Sanak’s landmark new “stop the boats” bill.

Sir Keir Starmer is set to order Labor MPs to vote against him.

But senior German politician Joachim Stamp said Berlin should consider a similar plan.

He added that sending migrants to North African countries may be the only way for Europe to deal with the migration crisis.

A Home Office source said: “It is understandable that our plans are being looked at by European countries.”

Disaffected Gary Lineker has refused to back down in the BBC ranks after a day of chaos.
The prime minister will sweet-talk Macron on joint efforts to stop migrant crossings at the meeting.

A Home Office source said: “The whole of Europe is dealing with the same migration crisis. The number of arrivals is increasing.

“It is understandable that our ground plan to send illegal immigrants to safe havens – such as Rwanda – is being watched by European countries.

“And it looks like they’re already looking at it in Germany.

“The people of Europe will no longer suffer mass illegal migration and chaos at their borders.”

Mr Sink has staked his political career on stopping the boats.

Last year more than 45,000 migrants arrived on dinghies and this year the number is predicted to reach 80,000.

The bill would deport all Channel migrants and bar them from claiming asylum.
