♦ PTI Chairman Imran Khan has announced that his party has decided not to be a part of the current political system and will instead resign from all assemblies. “We will not be a part of this system. We have decided to quit all assemblies and get out of this corrupt system. PTI has decided not to go to Islamabad to prevent any mayhem or chaos,” Imran said. That he would soon meet his chief ministers and parliamentary party over the matter and would soon announce when the party would leave the assemblies.
♦ PTI workers barged into an enclosure reserved for women and VIPs at the party’s meeting place in Rawalpindi. The workers have taken away the chairs, while the police and the organizers have failed to stop them. In Hangu, a PTI leader started thrashing a journalist when asked about the low participation by party workers in their much-hyped power show.
♦ PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz termed PTI’s virtual Azadi March as “the longest unsuccessful march full of drama after drama”. Maryam said that all her plans, including the story of a conspiracy hatched by PTI chairman Imran Khan and interference in the appointment of the army chief, have failed miserably. “That’s how conspiracies end,” she said.
♦ Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that all claims of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf that there was a “tsunami” of people in today’s Long March turned out to be false as less than 15,000 people were seen.
♦ JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman hit out at Imran Khan, saying the country is facing economic problems because of the PTI chief. Addressing a rally in Manshera, he said that Pakistan is facing political chaos and Imran Khan’s fake government has put the country on the brink of economic disaster. He said that we fought to protect the state and saved the country from bankruptcy. He said the rupee was appreciating against the US dollar and the new government stopped its free fall.

♦ At least nine terrorists were killed in a fierce exchange of fire between terrorists and security forces in Sia Koh area of Kohlu district of Balochistan. The terrorists were involved in the Kohlu Bazar bombing, which killed four people and injured 19 passers-by. The organization was involved in kidnapping for ransom, extortion and attacks on security forces in the region.
