9 terrorists killed in exchange of fire with security forces in Balochistan: ISPR – Pakistan

Security forces killed nine terrorists belonging to the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) during a search operation in Kohlu, Balochistan on Saturday, the army’s public affairs wing said in a statement.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), intelligence agencies were on the lookout for terrorists since the September 30 blast in Kohlu Bazar that killed two people and injured 19.
It said BLA terrorists were involved in kidnapping for ransom, extortion and attacks on security forces in the area.
The terrorists were involved in targeting engineers and laborers working on development projects in the province. Terrorists were now planning attacks in Kohlu, Kahan and Mawand, ISPR said.
The media wing of the army said that the operation started at 6 am during which there was a fierce exchange of fire between the besieged terrorists and the security forces.
He added that a search operation is also underway by the security forces in the area.
