This is the first time investors have been able to purchase shares of spot Ethereum ETFs. Previously they were limited to Ethereum ETF futures. This change occurs after Spot Bitcoin (BTC USD) Trading in ETFs began at the beginning of the year.
Crypto traders are celebrating the launch of spot Ethereum ETFs today as it represents another win for the market. Crypto has come under special scrutiny from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as the government seeks additional regulations for the emerging market.
Spot Ethereum ETFs allow investors to invest in cryptocurrencies without directly holding them. This opens the market to some investors who may not want to get involved directly or avoid the hassle of entering this space.
