Umar Jaswal will play the role of Shoaib Akhtar in the biopic

Known as a cool chap in the showbiz industry, Umair Jaswal is all set to play former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar in the much-awaited biopic of the legendary Rawalpindi Express.
Shoaib Akhtar had announced earlier this year that his biopic is in the works. This announcement ignited a very exciting debate as to who would play the role of the fast bowler.
It has been made official that Umair Jaswal will be showing his skills in the film.
The Easypaisa Rahi host took to his Instagram and shared a poster of himself wearing the number 14 cricket jersey of the pacer.
“Bismillah. Very excited to announce and share this with you all. I am honored to play the role of the living legend Mr. Shoaib Akhtar on the big screen in Rawalpindi Express. May Allah bless us with success in our endeavours.” We look forward to bringing you a first of its kind biopic film worthy of worldwide recognition,” he captioned.
The film is directed by Muhammad Faraz Qaiser, written by Qaiser Nawaz and a production and presentation by Q Films Productions.
The rest of the cast has not been announced yet. The film ‘Rawalpindi Express’ is going to release next year.
