Chief Minister’s action on video leak of statement of Imran Khan attacker
Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has taken strict action on the incident of leaking of the video of the statement of the man who attacked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Chief Minister Chaudhary Pervez Elahi suspended all the employees, including the SHO of the concerned police station, for leaking the statement.
Chaudhary Parvez Elahi directed the Inspector General of Police to take strict disciplinary action against the irresponsible officers.
The Chief Minister says that the mobiles of all the police station personnel have been taken into custody, forensic audit of mobile phones will be done.
Chaudhary Parvez Elahi ordered an inquiry into the incident of leaking of the statement of the accused and issued instructions to IG Punjab, saying that the motive should be brought to the fore through investigation.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Punjab also called an emergency meeting, in which the firing incident was reviewed.
The meeting was attended by Inspector General of Police, Punjab Assembly Speaker Sabtain Khan, Shafqat Mehmood, MPA Hafiz Amar Yasir, Akhtar Malik, Mian Mahmudur Rashid.
Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Muhammad Khan Bhatti, Commissioner Lahore Division, CCPO Lahore and concerned officials also attended the meeting.
