Earthquake death toll reaches 310
The death toll from Monday’s magnitude 5.6 earthquake in Indonesia has risen to 310, while 24 people are still missing.
Aftershocks continue after the earthquake in Indonesia. Because of this, Friday prayers in Cianjar city of West Java province were performed in open spaces near rice fields.
Due to the aftershocks, earthquake victims sheltering in tents are still at risk while aftershocks are also hampering relief operations.
The earthquake in West Java left thousands injured, 56,000 houses damaged, while more than 62,000 people were forced to move to safer shelters.
