Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Assam’s Guwahati on Tuesday on his two-day North East visit. Where a large number of people welcomed him by showering flowers on his convoy. Modi held a meeting with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and his Council of Ministers at a guest house here. However, the media briefing of the meeting was not held.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted after the meeting, “A rare honor for my cabinet colleagues to have the blessings and guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr. @narendramodi ji in Guwahati today. A historic moment for Assam. ” And a very proud moment.”
The Prime Minister is visiting the North-East to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new governments.
According to officials, the meeting at the Quinadura State Guest House here lasted for about two hours. Health Minister Keshab Mahant had said on Monday that the work of all departments is expected to be discussed, but he too did not give any specific details about the meeting. The Prime Minister is on a two-day visit to the Northeast to attend the swearing-in ceremony of new governments in Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura.
