Alkami Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALKT) (“Alkami”), a leading provider of cloud-based digital banking solutions to banks and credit unions in the United States, has announced the appointment of Gagan Kanjlia as Chief Product Officer (CPO).

Kanjlia brings more than 25 years of experience in developing and marketing products for some of the most prominent financial institutions and fintechs in the country. Prior to Alkami, he served as CPO at Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), where he unified the functionality of key product lines, including payments, lending systems and development platforms.

Prior to SVB, Kanjlia led the product, design and channel management functions at OnDeck, where his team redefined the small business financing experience to offer a complete lending solution, easily delivered online and mobile, and outstanding customer service offers. Kanjlia also spent 15 years at Capital One, where he co-founded and led Capital One Garage and launched one of the leading digital experiences in the mortgage industry, including the first instant prequalification product.

In addition to his professional success, Kanjlia has selflessly contributed to improving the lives of children. For five years, he led the DC division of Asha for Education, a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding early childhood education for disadvantaged communities in India. He is currently a national board member of BUILD, which uses entrepreneurial, experiential learning to ignite the potential of young people in underserved communities and equip them for success in high school, college and careers.

“Gagan brings an entrepreneurial mindset with a proven ability to develop, market and scale market-leading products in the financial sector,” said Alex Shootman, CEO of Alkami. “His extensive background working for leading financial institutions and fintechs will benefit Alkami’s clients as he has a deep understanding of their opportunities and challenges, having followed in their footsteps.”

“Alkami is uniquely positioned to help regional and community financial institutions compete and win with the digital capabilities of megabanks,” said Kanjlia. “I look forward to leveraging my extensive expertise to deliver these institutions market-leading digital banking solutions to help them better serve their customers and members.”
